I am not going to say how I will vote - it is after all a secret ballot.

What I will say is that from what my passengers are telling me, I would suggest that, some who have always voted for the traditional parties, Lab, Con and Lib are shifting allegiance to express their displeasure, a protest vote in a nutshell.

The bigger problem that these parties face is the large number that have never voted before, who tell me they will this time, their votes seem to be going to UKIP.

I think UKIP will end up with even more Euro MP's and with a good few Local Councillors as well. In finely balanced LA's you could see more Councils in the "No Overall Majority" bracket, with UKIP holding the balance. This will see changes in all the Parties policies.

A referendum will I think, see us leaving. Whether a re-negotiation with Europe will succeed or not on the strength of that, will we get a second referendum to ratify changes or will the Political classes ignore the result and say the changes mean we stay in? It is classic Referenda policy for the EU to ask again until the right answer is achieved.

I just fail to see an argument why we shouldn't have a referendum.

If leaving the EU would be detrimental then lets have that debate and be told why.

I'm more than happy to change my view, much in the same way the GMB have done in respect of non licensed drivers.

I cannot for the life of me understand as to why anyone would want to consider being in the EEC.

Fact.............We have been in the EEC for 40 ish tears, even the politicians cannot make their minds up Out or In. The truth is the honest ones want OUT because they know that it is of No benefit to the General population..........it is an elite club for the benefit of our crooks. There is somewhere in the region of another 140 nations in the world to trade with, so why would you want to stay with Or join a " Company" that is in essence bankrupt - Why join or belong to some organisation that in 40 years has and is causing us massive debt. It is sucking the life and living standards out of every European to fund the life style of EEC politicians - It is a no brainer with practically every EEC member country on the bones of its arse.........40 years membership and look where we are.......and more to come.

The EEC was defuct years ago. It was the EEC that the UK joined and voted to stay in. EEC stood for European Economic Community or as it was called back then, the COMMON MARKET. At that time this was all that the man in the street was told about membership. We were all in one "common market" where we could all sell and buy our goods freely within the "market"
The political side of it wasn't even talked about as I recall.

Spot on - more commonly today known as spin. The other (selling point) of the EEC was that we would all be "Allies" (all for one & and one for all)........even that bit falls on its arse when conflict occurs. It is no more than a life style ticket for leading politicians.

Think of it this way..........You join your local "Social/Golf club" and 40 years later you are not happy with it - to the point that it is costing you a shed load of money to belong to it, the committee are taking more than generous salaries, plus unaccountable expenses and the club is also massively in debt. The debt is much, much more than when you joined, with the real kicker/sucker punch being that when it comes crashing down, YOU/I will feel the pain.................but the committee will be alright!!!

Bring on the referendum is my view

funny to see all the arguments are exactly what we on the LEFT told you would happen of course we were right

Hitachi Trains are here because their trains operate here and because they can be sold and are used and sold in Europe.

Where I run my vintage buses from is a former potato factory; it closed when Tesco changed its supplier (a good Kosher firm IIRC); one of the units has recently been taken over by an Italian company making air conditioning units. They moved their operation from Italy to the UK BECAUSE the EU made it easy for them to do so and makes it easy for them to supply to Europe. They refused to pay "insurance" in Italy , and found the paperwork there was unbearable. So far they've created 14 jobs locally.

With my vintage bus business, over 75% of my customers wanting spares are in Europe, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Italy and France. The EU makes it very easy for me to get on the Eurotunnel and drive anywhere I want delivering and fitting spares. The main disadvantage is getting BACK into the UK at Calais where passport controls often take over an hour.

There' good and bad laws come out of Europe, the same as there is with our own domestic laws.

Human rights is one; it has good and bad points, TUPE being one of the good points in my view, giving us all basic freedoms is another. Bad points, giving raving loony terrorists the right to stay in the UK or Europe and abuse the system, bad point.

As the UK is probably the only place that does not have and has never had a "bill of rights", it can't be all bad. I also cherish my right to work in any other EU country without let or hindrance, something not possible until fairly recently.

My local UKIP county councillor is a decent bloke, a Tory defector, and has given me advice about KCC's transport department. However, that doesn't mean I'll be voting UKIP!

As will I and millons of others.
