owner driver rings HMRC about base "jockeys" (self employed)

HMRC pop round for a looksee

all drivers now PAYE

No, theyve swapped a lucrative % of the jobs (paid cash) for the NMW (£6.31) taxable 24/7, no extra nights or bank holidays, but theyve got 20 paid holidays a year

Nothing stopping them becoming "workers under the direction of the company" pay their own tax , do cash jobs, still get paid holidays :D

I thought it was 25 days paid holiday which MAY include Bank holidays?

Most workers who work a 5-day week must receive 28 days’ paid annual leave per year.

This is calculated by multiplying a normal week (5 days) by the annual entitlement of 5.6 weeks.

Bank or public holidays do not have to be given as paid leave.

An employer can choose to include bank holidays as part of a worker’s statutory annual leave.

if they only get flat rate on a bank holiday instead of 1/3rd of time+half they are [edited by admin] out
