I presume his 2 years driving experience doesn't help either as even personal car insurance is expensive to start out.

20% deposit and the rest over 10 payments

20% interest on top

so

£4000 = to pay £5000, £1000 deposit and 10 x £500 a month, plus base rent £500 a month, plus fuel, plus repairs

take £1500 a month to start earning a wage then

Based on a standard 40 hour week;

+ 160 hours x £6.31min wage = £1009.60
+ £1500
= £2509.60 per month to achieve minimum wage or an AVERAGE take per hour of £15.69 on the meter. :shock:

Or if you look at it another way it costs £9.38 every hour just to put the car on the road, anything above that is profit :cry:

But usually they dont do that sort of calculation do they...

"I need to take £3000 a month"........by the 20th of any month they should start earning for themselves

They tend not to do any calculation, all they see is 'I've done £600 this week'. Until you point out that half of thats gone in expenses and for the hours they've put in it works out at a wage of £4 per hour. - But it's still 'I've done six days for £600, thats £100 a day!!' #-o
