The facts are that UKIP have rocked all the other parties back on their heels.

The facts are that they won a few seats on some councils. They do not have control of any councils at all and they will just end up being marginalised and ignored.

Cant see that happening, a lot of People like at least something in what UKIP offers and almost nothing of what the two and half mainstream parties have to offer. UKIP are fresh and bold and at least offer some hope of political change for Britain where as the other parties are all banging the same drum whilst ignoring the real wishes of those who elected them.

Nope..UKIP love em or loathe them are here to stay and will go from strength to strength as they become better organised, the only way to stop their rise is if the so called mainstream parties start to listen to Joe Public and take on board what they are wanting and react positively rather than continue with their "we know what's best for you" approach, People are hacked of with the arrogance of the Tories, Labour and Lib Dem MP's and now at least they have a party that seems to offer an alternative way of doing things in government.

If nothing else UKIP will be a wake up call and send the message to all sitting MP's MEP's that people have had enough of being ignored and unless they change it may cost a few of them their seats on the Westminster and Brussels gravy train express...and nowt hurts em more than losing a free Ticket on that particular train.

I see that you know how to do spin #-o Labour has had an ar$e kicking, for the time of the due election they should have a clear mandate :-k.......they clearly do not, and the ball is rolling.

UKIP clearly have ridden the false allegations that others have tried to smear them with - the Nation speaks - the earthquake has happened - other parties are bricking it

Just remind me, because i haven't seen the results. just how many councils do UKIP now run?

Hmmm, now what is the saying, oh I remember, from "Mighty Oaks grow from little Acorns". Take it from me Cameron and Clegg are history =D> Oh and by the way - I tactically voted for those tw$ts

It shows that people want change and are sometimes desperate for it, hence the BNP................NO mention of the BNP this time around =D> =D> =D>

I ask again, How many councils do UKIP now run?[/quote]

Rotherham for starters, the big one is Tonight when the Euro Votes are counted, it wouldn't surprise me if there hasn't been some vote rigging.

There's also next year when all the other parties will be filling their trousers with brown stuff because UKIP are on the rise. The voter has spoken and they've shown the people in power that they want answers.

The end is nigh for Liebour and the Condems.

The BBC can bleat on as much as they like and Gus can read his Daily masturbation website AKA another anger voice they aren't going to change the mind of the voter.

A brilliant post =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

To put a bit more icing on the cake, they could just like the Lib Dems (who have failed massively) hold the balance of power -the word Coalition springs to mind and is already being bandied around.

For the third time (perhaps it is boring).........no mention whatsoever of the BNP! To my way of thinking "The People" want change so badly they can, and do vote (probably reluctantly) for the BNP, but not this time! The sea of change (if UKIP keep on doing and saying the right things) could change politics radically for the better, UKIP are now taking votes off of ALL parties making it very, very interesting.

Unfortunately because of the way voting is laid out in this country, (seats and not the actual population vote), it makes it almost impossible for anyone else to take control. As such and as ever it will be between the ping pong parties L&C, but it is fun time with all of the main parties, who will be making promises out of their ears to the electorate, in the run up to next years election.

You can see that in a very short time the damage that UKIP have done to the Cons, the Labour party, and of course the Lib Dems who have been set back donkeys years, the BNP (sorry who) will also be yesterdays people. I will not say that I can smile about it all yet - but I am breaking into a grin

UKIP won't be part of a coalition John, I reckon they want the power, (no sharing allowed after the last debacle).

You could be right! However faced with a chance to have some say in the running of the country it would be difficult to turn down.

From a personal point of view [Yes] I would want them as an outright party - realistically because of the boundary voting system it will not happen - on that basis I would want them to have loads of say as a coalition. The biggest problem is that I do not see any of the parties wanting to get into bed with them, as they are poles apart with any of the C&L ideas of running the country and wanting to fill their own pockets.

UKIP are the only ones out there at this moment in time who are saying what the people want to hear, if Liebour and the Condems don't like it then they're on a slippery slope to nothing.

The people have risen up and voted now the other three are on the back foot big time. I can't wait for the Euro Vote tonight that will add even more misery to Liebour and the Condems.

The other three have missed the most simplest of things and that's pulling the country out of a bankrupt state, the UK people want out, if Liebour and the Condems won't pull us out the UK's population will vote for who will get us out. It's pretty simple I reckon.

What a load of cobblers. 8)

UKIP's vote is markedly down on last year's and your supposed earthquake is nothing more than wishful thinking.
A minor tremor at best, fracked up by Farage and his media friends.

Now get over it.

Out of the 243 council seats up for grabs in Manchester, Liverpool and Preston, UKIP won Zero.

You don't half talk some shit. Either that or you have a strange idea of what winning is.
