So u done any taxi driving yet then or what?? i am interested to know your first experiences first day at it and all that sort of stuff.

Hi matty, ive to sit an induction on tuesday and then Ill be able to drive. Ill give you my verdict then.
Yes its been a extremely slow (and arduous) journey. But im finally here! :)

its not a requirement here, so none have em, plus.....hacks have a £35 "meter check" fee, would a PH with one have to pay?

I asked our LO who said "ooooeeerrrrr, never been asked that

PLUS, we have a "local" job fee of £4 and the opposition dont, sticking to the meter, yesterday i drove past the rank (loaded) and they had upto 15 hacks waiting.......... go figure

The longest mileage for the £4 set fare is 3 miles, the bulk are 1.5miles. a meter would be just an ornament
