People out shopping for their supplies ready for the boxing match last night, our local Asda ran out of beer.

I had an excellent shift.

Rain = More jobs but shorter runs, overall better take when dry.

Time = Start of month when everyone gets paid, as the month drags on the work decreases. I also notice people pay with £20s at the start and by the end it's shrapnel.

School = Those with contracts lose out when holiday time but not much difference for everyone else. Although happier because you dont get any of those cr@ppy 1/4 mile £2 school jobs that take half an hour to do !

And last night was one of the busiest ever, far more than any new year or bank holiday. Can't figure out why though, must be more than just a boxing match :?:

The colder the better.

The hotter the better.

The windier the better.

The wetter the better.

In short extremes is good, mediocre is less good.

Of course most of you lot don't need to worry about number two.

It doesn't matter here on the Romney Marsh. The sheep still don't go out very much, and the locals even less.

Now the power station outage has finished, it's back to very little for another year.

Well, I used to be uncertain, but now I can't make my mind up.

Mine wasn't, but 2014 has been good for me so far.
