On TDO I have noticed a different shade of blue inserted into some of the different topics - if you hover over them it comes up as a form of advertising. Sooooo....are/is TDO going down the advertising route, annnnnd are we likely to be facing copious amounts of advertisements in our faces?

Ahhh....you could be right, it seems to have disappeared at the moment. It is/was for more pointed words such as "Cab,Route and the word Advertising" being displayed in a different colour "Blue" that you could click onto, which then came up with an advert to do with that product.

Now that you mention it......I have been having a few minor problems

Apologies to TDO.

I used to get that as well, I think I got rid of it using Adblock Plus which is free or malwarebytes also free.

I pretty sure it would take a lot of money for the admin of TDO to place advertising on here, and if they ever did I'm sure it wouldn't be hidden adverts.

Maybe run a good virus check to see if things change.

I have tried both - still the same problem.

It is a similar "Blue" as when a link is posted in a forum post.

To clarify it: You/I post a reply, at different points it hones in a a word that is recognisable i.e it might be the word "Click" or even Wannas logo at the bottom of his page whereby it picks up on "Schizophrenia" and hi-lites it in "blue". A bit lost on this one.
