Appeal as Tottenham minicab driver is robbed by three men at campsiteA Tottenham minicab driver was robbed by three men he picked up in Tottenham after they directed him to a campsite in Waltham Abbey and set upon him.
Police said the three men attended a cab office in Seven Sisters Road at around 9pm on July 3 and asked for a minicab to take them to Chingford.
But about 45 minutes later they requested to get out at the Lee Valley campsite in Sewardstone Road, Waltham Abbey, and restrained the driver before threatening him and stealing two mobile phones, cash and keys. Unsuccessful attempts were also made to steal the minicab, a silver Toyota estate.
Police are appealing for help identifying the men. The first is described as a black man, about 20 years old with black hair, of medium build and wearing a grey top with a hood, blue jeans and trainers.
The second is desrcibed as a black man, about 18 years old with low-cut black hair, of skinny build and wearing a light grey T-shirt and blue jeans.
The third suspect was a lighter-skinned black man, about 18 years old with a brown, low-cut afro, of skinny build and wearing a black hooded top and black jeans. One of the men is described as having cornrows in his hair, but it is unknown which one.
