Anyone got REAL mpg figures (not factory figures or trip computer readings) for a car?

is a 1.6 superb much better than a 2.0, though the VED is £30 on the 1.6 i hear

Mondeo 2.0 Tdci 115psi 2004 (mine), 95% urban jobs of less than 2 miles stop start;

At night (little traffic) Winter 37mpg, summer 40mpg. Daytime heavy traffic, winter 31mpg, summer 34mpg.
Average speed daytime 12mph, night 16mph - would be higher if I didn't have to spend so long outside houses waiting for punters to get their ar$e in gear !

Motorway @75mph = 39mpg.

Best I've ever got during a whole nights work is 45mpg, no short runs or motorways.

Allegedly not, the 1.6 and 1.9 green line can achieve this on long runs.
My last mark 1 1.9 130 could get well over 900 miles before the fuel light came on and it has a 70 ltr tank
Lyon in France back home in the Borders without a refill 5 up with a full boot
