i doubt you can nowadays even if you wanted to, but its hard to check when buying a car in October as I did....

Oh yes you can buy cars without aircon. A driver here bought a new Zafira last year and he has just found out that it doesn't have aircon. The Dacia that we have been looking at only has aircon on the top of the range model.

Me to, with the hot weather these last few weeks mine has been working without fault. I had mine re-gassed last year at a cost of £25.

I wouldnt consider a car without it now after 7 years of A/C

I bought my first car with an aircon in 1997 it was Merc W124 250D Saloon built in 1993. people always asked me if I just started cos it looks like I just came out off my cold garage. I stopped explaining that it`s airconditioning when I realized that people don`t understand words that long... so since then every my car has an aircon...

I got fed up telling people the aircons on when they wind the windows down, if they do it now I just turn it off completely.

Once sweltered on a coach through France and then the driver was told which button was the A/C...
