Right, I'm slowly winning the battle but, despite having said there is nothing to debate, they are now saying s55 TPCA 1847, doesn't apply to card charges. I must admit I don't think that section is totally cut and dried.
Is there any decided case law that clarifies s55 or, indeed, the whole argument about what a hackney carriage can charge for.
Better still, is there an article or essay I can use that discusses the whole issue of charging quoting legal authorities?
I'm determined to educate this lot, but you know what the bottom end of this trade is like, sometimes!
