Yes, I would agree. However, Dougie used to drive for me many years ago, before he bought into the trade and he was pretty smart and considered in his thinking. His response was no less than I would expect.

You don't have to pay - you just have to delete Cookies in your web browser. Or for a quick solution use a another browser (though that one will run out eventually also). What browser are you using? I can post you instructions if you want.

Secondly when you are blocked on the internet like this you can often work around it with a Proxy service, for example Hotspot Shield, which is available for free. That shields your IP address from them, just like dialling 141 conceals your phone number.

This is very useful, eg sports events online in USA that block all other countries can be viewed with a Proxy.

But note deleting Cookies will lose information remembered by the browser, eg login passwords and settings you have made - but these just need to be re-entered.

You don't need to delete all cookies, just the ones from the telegraph website.

Ace of spades/Handyman...thank you. My computer runs off of Firefox - I followed instructions re the browser. No need to delete any other info..........just the Telegraph, and then reload a fresh page/issue.

Did you press F5 once you'd deleted cookies? Most browsers automatically cache pages to speed up loading when the same page has to be loaded again, so if you didn't refresh the page it's probable that your computer is displaying the cached version (i.e the "blocked access" page).
