Every taxi driver in the UK barring a few are rinsing the system with WTC. One driver round here is claiming mobility and still working carrying shopping bags and lifting flat screen TVs into his car.

Howmuch does WTC equate to? Sorry, just trying to get a rough idea of what I'll be making per week

I don't know cos I don't get any but if you ring them or there is a calculator online that will work it out for you. I think the link is called 'entitled to' but I'm not sure just google it.

I think its pretty cool that the state effectively subsidises minicab operators and deregulated areas

Thanks for the advice, I would be happy to work nights and more than 5 days if need be.

Im going to need to get a settle car for now as im not in any position at the moment to buy a car, looking at all the overheads and my other outgoings it looks like I'll barely make it, im 50/50 at the moment wether I should go through with it or not, ive got a young child to look after and my partner is a carer so she can't go and get another job so I feel like all the pressure is on at the moment, lol.

If you get a settle car and weekly insurance you can come out of the trade at any time if you can't make enough money or whatever it just depends if you have another job you may not want to quit that yet.

Toots advised me to go to the insurance company in moreton (wirral) called county insurance its about £69 a week for me but it varies person to person etc.

Most likely Satellite, I don't know much about any of the operators to be honest, I just know Argyle and Satellite are the big 2 and thought it would be best going with one of them.

Do any of you know of any Accountants who would be willing to give me some advice?
