For those of you/us that use this route it's worth putting up on TDO that the toll booths are going.

However they are being replaced by ticket less payments.

Love to know how they are going to get payments from foreign registered vehicles.

You didn't get a ticket anyway. they are exempt from issuing a receipt.

I have a job lot of feck off number plates available, just drive through.

Most will just drive through and never pay, the agency cannot chase everyone it would cost to much
Best to scrap all tolls like Scotland has

Evasion
Enforcing the charge will be an important part of the Dart Charge scheme. Penalty charges and recovery processes will be used to tackle evasion.

Evasion is likely to involve both UK-registered and non-UK-registered vehicles. The automatic number plate recognition system will recognise non-UK vehicles and a European debt recovery agency will support the recovery of outstanding charges. This approach has proven successful with similar schemes such as the London congestion charge.

European debt recovery companies can chase as much as they like. Once you're outside the country there's f all they can do about it. Fines are unenforceable elsewhere.

Also, if you're a frequent user you can get a prepaid account, but only if you're a limited company or a private individual. If you are a partnership or LLP you can't make use of this facility.
