LAUNCH OF DELTA LIVERPOOL

In anticipation of the eagerly awaited 'Deregulation Bill', Delta Taxis is delighted to announce its commissioning of a brand new taxi office right in the heart of Liverpool city centre.

DELTA LIVERPOOL offers no access for taxi drivers or members of the public, it is a 'staff only' mini call centre that invites and accepts private hire bookings exclusively for Liverpool licensed private hire drivers and cars.

The current legislation dictates that bookings accepted by Delta in Liverpool's new City Centre office can ONLY be dispatched to Liverpool licensed private hire drivers and cars.

In the same way, bookings accepted by Delta in Sefton's Bootle office can ONLY go to Sefton licensed private hire drivers and cars.

Both fleets remain mutually exclusive ... FOR NOW!



At some stage between now and the next general election we fully expect the Deregulation Bill to be enacted, legislating for private hire bookings to be SUBCONTRACTED ACROSS LOCAL AUTHORITY BOUNDARIES.

When this happens, work from EITHER office can go to drivers and cars from EITHER fleet ... ONE BIG SUPER-EFFICIENT SUPER-FLEET!

Until this time Delta remains fully committed to building up the work for both the Liverpool bride AND the Sefton groom so that when they eventually merge it will be a marriage made in taxi heaven!

Would not like to be a Hackney driver when this happens .

I know it was going to happen sooner or later with these new laws going through.

I don't see what difference it makes to be honest Delta work Liverpool anyway already so having an office there isn't going to change that. Perhaps because they're losing drivers in Sefton they think if they open an office in Liverpool it'll make a difference. Personally I think if a driver was inclined to go to Delta for a set it wouldn't matter to the driver where the office is they'll work their own comfort zone any how.

Justice for the 96. It has only taken 27 years...........repeat the same lies for 27 years and the truth sounds strange to people!

Don't know why they have done this to be honest. The phone number is still the same... a pointless exercise. Delta were around before Sefton and Liverpool were 2 different LAs, and after all they've said about how efficient their multi zone fleet is, it doesn't make sense.
