Does the Liverpool office have a separate number? Is it manned?

Do the apps booking go through that office's exchange, or direct to the cars?

I think everyone is guessing.

I think, and as a member on here pointed out - its maybe got more to do with recruitment of Liverpool minicab drivers

Perhaps, but surely they could have got a ten a penny Sefton license anyway.

not sure what the conditions are in Liverpool - but Sefton has a knowledge test

The sad thing is the above and their fellow union people will use the situation as a rallying call and yet more mugs will sign up.

I very much doubt anyone will ask the Unite union why they started all this mess in the first place, and if they did I very much doubt they will get the truth.

sadly if they were to blame anyone it would be their members - ultimately their reps were only following orders - like those train drivers who drove trains to death camps

I sort of get what you are saying, but the leadership needs to properly inform the membership of the options.

I doubt the membership was told that an option could lead to the trade being f***ed nationally.

yep - not having the b*lls to say "right chaps if we go down this path it could end up clusterf*ck" has played a key part

There will be a few owners with squeaky bums when the sheit hits the fan, due to drivers no longer having to pay office rent, they could just get there own car and licence it, and work through uber

They were told..over and over again at the start not to do what they did ...and you have to realise they had only 20 to 30 menbers and some voted against..the same group year after year put in for a fare rise from 2000, which out priced them from the Sefton p/h..and the rest of Liverpool drivers let them get away with it, They have only themselves to blame..And as for Uber.....The rule is Uber or set... not both, And you won't make aliving with it alone..
But that's Unions for you they know best.

The one chance the trade has....is the fact that the police commissioners have go involed.

I agree - but I find the 'outrage' at DELTA doing what they should have done anyway quite amusing
