They were told..over and over again at the start not to do what they did ...and you have to realise they had only 20 to 30 menbers and some voted against..the same group year after year put in for a fare rise from 2000, which out priced them from the Sefton p/h..and the rest of Liverpool drivers let them get away with it, They have only themselves to blame..And as for Uber.....The rule is Uber or set... not both, And you won't make aliving with it alone..

From the Delta website.
MEDIA FRENZY!

What a truly magnificent few days it has been for free publicity ... Four Delta Taxi articles in the Liverpool Echo, dialogue across Radio Merseyside and City Talk plus a storm of comments and photos across the Twitterverse.

We couldn't have hoped for a better start to Delta Liverpool!

As a result, downloads of our recently expanded smart phone App have reached record levels, with more customers now 'Tapping the App' than ever before.

Our new Liverpool troops are obviously doing their bit with 'TAP THE APP' door signs now parading through the city but we've also pushed the boat out with our advertising budget. Large scale multi-station radio advertising, 48 sheet billboards, millions of postcards and over a million 'tap the app' beer mats for the pubs and clubs. We've also secured front page banners on popular student newspapers distributed door to door.

Driver numbers are up, telephone bookings for Delta Sefton are up, and app bookings for both Delta Liverpool and Delta Sefton are higher than we could ever have imagined.

We'll keep plugging away at the advertising but with all the free press shining a light on the fantastic job all our drivers continue to do, all bodes well for a Jolly bumper Christmas and an 'APPy New Year!!

Its called "divide and rule" clearly Unite the NTA and others failed to establish a cohesive policy ....................................MUGS

Delta have recognised "all publicity is good publicity"

amazing to me always had the "SCOUSE" down as pretty shrewd ..........obviously sadly not in the Hack and PH trade .......it appears to me you'd be bettter occupied rebuilding relationships and constructing policy;s to repair this situation rather than indulging in inane attacks in public view upon each other #-o #-o thereby giving Delta even more encouragement #-o #-o

Alliance spokesman Jimmy Bradley said there had been no mention of the plans when the taxi forum – attended by representatives of the licensing department and Mayor Joe Anderson’s office – last met at the end of October.

He said Delta’s plans – which will include a call centre at Brunswick Dock – must have been in the pipeline for some time, but there is no information at present as to how long the proposals have been known to the council.

Mr Bradley said: “The council will be rubbing their hands (at the income from Delta), but it’s so shocking that we have had four representatives at several meetings and they never once mentioned this when we were discussing Delta.

“You don’t just open up a taxi office. This must have been going on for three months.”

If I decided to open an office in Liverpool I don't think it's anybodies business but mine and the councils, what right has anybody else got to know what I'm doing so long as I'm legal :?
