Hi all, and sorry in advance about the topic as not really taxi related as such, but any advice would be great

Purchased a ford mondeo from available cars. After a week or so it developed a injector fault, so was took back to available who and it to ford. Who then get authority from one of there internal departments to fix it.

Ford have had it for a week now, still waiting on authority to fix it.

I've called up available and they are trying to pester them but nothing is happening quick. So is there anything I can do to speed it up..... Oh and in case you wondered its becoming a taxi when I get it back

I'd be getting in touch with Sussex, he told you to buy a Mondeol !

2. tell em you will take it to swad diesels for them and charge it to their account

Ring up Ford Customer Services and ask what's the hold up.

If it went wrong after just a week, why didn't you ask for a refund due to the goods being "not fit for purpose."?

We did mention that Sussex is dodgy, and to buy a Skoda instead, demand a full refund and buy a new Skoda from the taxi centre

It doesn't pick the injectors up mate. I've had injector problems and the diagnostic kit doesn't pick them up.

On the injector you have a series of numbers, these numbers have to be put into a diagnostic machine like the £7,000 Snap On ones. They will marry the injector up with the fuel pump making sure it opens and dispenses fuel when it's supposed to do.

Serves yourself right for buying Ford Rubbish. Never ever ever touch a Ford. Phone them up and tell them to fuck themselves and the finance agreement. Get in touch with the Finance Company also, they will help you along.

injector faults are 75% diagnosticable all being controlled by and sensed so much, 1 knock sensor for all 4 on my ford, any badness could be ID as the ECU knew which was due to fire

dont know about the PSA Mondeo engine but the Mk3 Tdci injectors were £1000 for 4 fitted and programmed.....recons

new were £1500

I used an EGR blanking plate and used Fsuper to reset the EML before tests too
