I find myself getting it done quite often despite driving safe and slowly and avoiding all pot holes if i can... going over speed bumps are really slow speeds even the more rounded ones... the wheel alignment seems to go off very often. Is this normal in this job with the long hours and lots of mileage ?

HOW MUCH?? Speak to the depot manager and see if he'll do you a deal. With over 50 cars that need tracking on a two weekly basis that's the reason ours is so low.
