I had an arguement with another PH driver about this, i said we were not OBLIGED to charge any extra, his face went white so i included the base op in the talk, she too went white) then i added, its only hacks on a meter anyway (most of ours never put the meter on)

My last shift finished on the 21st and I will not be back in until (maybe the 17th Jan)..........technically, 364 other days in the year to make money :D

If anyone is down in Bournemouth and wants to pop in and buy me a beer.....I will be in the Marriott for three days/nights from the 30th.....cheaper to stay there than catch bluddy taxis :) :) :) ......maybe not

We were time and a half on boxing day. Other firms stuck to single time and so we were less busy but still made more than a usual Friday night and covered less miles.

Nye is double time from midnight onwards however i won't be bothering this year.

In a previous/other post you mentioned that you had gone to Cardiff "20 miles" away......are you Bridgend based?

I'm not convinced double meter does us any good in the long run.

However punters think we charge that anyway, so really we can't win.

We don't get many people complain about double fare. there are some around here that don't charge it but they don't seem to be any busier than us.
