Has anyone completed the PTDQ or know much this course. It is a UK taxi driving course called, "Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and private hire car driver".

I suspect the mush who invented it, and is hoping to reap large rewards has done it, but doubt many more.

http://www.aba-training.com/coursepages/transport_training/vrq_road_passenger_vehicle_driving%20_%20taxi_private-hire_l2.html
Not at that training centre but at another.
It's a requirement to get a Sefton License

DBS & DVLA Check
VRQ Course (4 full days)
40 Routes Knowledge Test
Medical

It's the first of many  As you well know I've always liked the idea of courses for drivers but they should be accurate and relevant. This week it has brought home to me how important it is to make drivers aware of the actual conditions their licenses are issued under

If a DCPC is the way to go for a D or D1 licence why not for PH and HC?

the courses are set up and in place

There would need to be some modifications to the modules for taxi/private hire.

A bus driver here told me that one of the modules that he did was on the correct way to load luggage on a coach. the module took 7 hours. He had already been doing continental tours for nearly 40 years. =D> =D>
