You are though fighting the Trade in Edinburgh, what was that word again

Dougie, I honestly wonder if you are right in the head when you come out with comments like that. #-o #-o #-o You and flower must be related. #-o #-o #-o

"you will never get a robot to understand even the basic principles of animal behavior", so explain to your readers Gary what are you then the animal or the robot ?

Flower, you've lost me completely with your drivel. #-o Oh and Flower, robots are not self-aware and neither are animals i.e. dogs. :-|

Oh and yes, if you want to describe people as animals, then yes, humans are self-aware, so that makes me self-aware although, I can't say the same for you. #-o

Gary I am only repeating your comment on robots and animals, 20 pages Gary can you drag it out longer, can this record get unstuck.

Oh before I go Gary there is a black cab app coming to Edinburgh, I am sure you can drag out a few more pages about that with your intelligent comments.

Once again flower, I don't think you are seeing the bigger picture. When all of these app technology platform companies take over, you are the meet on the sandwich. It's the punter who wins at the end of the day with the app company skimming off the top. =D> =D> =D>

Talking of doubling, I heard a fascinating stat the other day.

If you start with one grain of sand on the first square of a chessboard, and then double the amount for every subsequent square, there is not enough sand on this planet to fit on the last of the 64 squares.

The original take on this was with grains of rice. The inventor of the game of chess was asked to name his price and this was his answer. it is an astronomical figure by the time you get to the last square.

I'll give apps like Uber five, perhaps ten years and what you will see is the demise of the traditional taxi radio company. No more daft wee committeemen running taxi companies or offices crammed with telephonists answering phones just an app on your phone - job done. =D> =D> =D> =D>

Oh and I think I am being generous with the timescale...
