Does a taxi office need a separate license in order to accept bookings for taxis?

In England they don't - was only asking ffs

In Scotland a Taxi office needs a booking office licence, 1hr 50 onwards from the video on the Holyrood talking taxis thread :roll:

Yes, provided they are taking bookings for 4 or more licensed vehicles.

As said previously captain, a booking office licence is required per LA, proving Get Taxi are acting illegally in Scotland =D>

Let me get this right, you think this app company would put their expansion in jeopardy by not registering a broom cupboard with a brass plaque as there office?

I have been trying for a while but their Taxis are all busy. I suppose it's early days yet I will try in a couple of weeks when they are up and running and fully established. Now what was that taxi companies number again. The one that comes and gets you and takes you to your destination. 228 something or other......
