Uber will concentrate on the coporate level custom.

If I was an independent hackney, or a small operator with a tasty motor, I would consider it.

what about them taking a slice of the fare?

Operators have been taking a slice off me for 25 years.

It all depends on the size of said slice.

If it's £10 off a metered £100 job, then bring it on baby.

Sign up but take a peek at how Uber once they have you treat you

http://youtu.be/LDeLO1Yr-pk

My opinion is don't entertain them, support a local App if you have to, our trade will always be about reliability and service, making Uber reliable will lead them to destroy you the individual, they are only interested in the numbers, typical American ideology

Can't ever imagine being treated like the Uber drivers by Uber by a Co-operative taxi circuit like the one I'm in

Don't give Uber an inch they'll take you for the ride

Over 1300 hacks, just over a 1000 work a circuit, 975 are members of a Co-operative, it's in our own best interests to provide a reliable and good customer service, we also have our own commission free App that is trusted by our punters, Edinburgh will be tough to crack for other providers but hey that's the game we are willing to play

So what's the strategy as telephone work disappears and app work takes over.
You shut the office reduce the overheads. Good.
But you and all the members rely on your Cordic app for all your bookings.

Who is running your show then?

Please tell us you have a strategy in place to protect all your loyal members!

Actually it doesn't matter they can all sign up for apps like the rest of us!

Just hope Über or Google haven't won the race by then.

In Edinburgh maybe not in your village or town, We have strength in numbers, well over 900 Cordic App taxis, 2000 drivers :D

You could say I'm Taxi Happy

Anyway off you go and play with your phone, all I need to do is press accept on my PDA =D> =D> =D>
