Could anyone tell me, or where can i find out, how many official taxis and private hire cars their are in the U.K ? Thankyou very much.

The most recent study in England and Wales was undertaken in 2004. This document has been posted before so you should be able to find it in a TDO archive search.

A relevant TDO faq is currently being compiled and hopefully the links to such documents will be included in the faq.
