So picked up two WIMMIN.. Shock!!!!

Students possibly. Took the first one to an address. Via a cashpoint.

Listening to the drunken words repeatedly used was Thailand and eyelashes. I was hurting by the time I dropped the last lass off.

She gave me a tenner or a £14.80 fare and said she will just pop into the flat. (in a very posh area of the toon)

Didn't return.

Stupid lass has used us before and the office gave me her flat number.

Papa was not too happy me holding the buzzer down at 3:30am in the middle of the night. (made sure I waited a few hours before returning) Just so it was nice and early.

I would have possibly let her off if she had asked. But for her cheek. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Why shouldn't they if it's their address, how else do you collect people from the right flat?

Maybe I am missing your point but what is the difference between giving a Flat number and giving a House number? ........As Toots says.......

Circumstances. When giving your address for the purposes of being picked up in a cab you are not giving your permission for your address to be given out for debt collection purposes.

So if i was a one man operation and someone did a runner i couldnt go through my own records and go retrieve the money?
Its not giving info to a 3rd party as the driver is part of the company surely.
I dont think there is a problem with this but I'd be interested to know the answer

If the information is in the public domain (phone book, electoral roll) I don't think there's a problem. You can't give out personal information to third parties, so within the company for job related purposes should be ok.

I beg to differ.

I would have the raving hump if ours didn't.

no, its a long drive from Pakistan

Of course the afflicted driver could have called the cops, or the base could have taken her number with the booking and the driver could have rung her

If I am looking for a regular customer in the city. I ask the base to send me the number to my datahead.

I ring said customer and this allows me to find where they are. (Some rely on less walking)

This lass has used the company before. Usually gives her actual address in the booking. This time as it was a multidrop. I got basic info.

I could of gone the whole 9 yards and rang the police. I know it was only for a few poxy quid. But instead I opted for the knock and shame route.

If it was a bloke. I quite possibly could of had a VERY short time as a Private hire driver.

IMHO she got of very lightly. Not getting that dream job later in life because a DBS check comes back with a conviction on of this nature. THEFT.

I got a similar rev last Thursday. The auths could do nothing... absolutely nothing. Including police. My 2 runners where smooth. They left 2 tesco shopping bags and her purse in the car asking me to watch over it and not touch it. They got in the house and vanished into thin air. Called police, they couldn't even take a statement. I didn't expect much anyways so I left it at that. The groceries are in my garage rotting and the purse with them.

I wonder if it was me on the other side of it. What could happen????? It was only £25.00 #-o
