It's in our own hands Artur, keep the trade a reliable trade, provide a top class service and our customers will stay happy, if drivers start using stand alone Apps like Get Taxi and Uber making them a reliable service our trade will be the loser

Thought you didn't know my real identity :?: How did you know I may one day be on our committee :?:

I may and I may not stand in the future but if I do you can be sure that Customer service will be right at the top of my list

Dougie, you talk some shi*e!! And what is worse you actually believe your own shi*e!! Once again Dougie, I'll give you a chance to reconsider what you have written before ripping you a new one... #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

You have a brass neck to say anyone talks shi£e Skull. Your vitreol towards the taxi trade and taxi company's is relentless and embarrassing. This forum provides you with the only vehicle to keep you attached to a trade that discarded you a long time ago. I think the word that was used was REVOKED. Stick to the pooper scooper Skull. There's similarity there though, you not only talk shi£e but pick it up as well!! How's the Walkies Skull?

Private Reggie. I am a driver and find your comments very distasteful. I try at all times to adhere to the rules of my Taxi Company. Do you have a driver on your taxi PR?

Artur, glad to see you have returned from the homeland safe and sound!! I to have had time out. I like your views. The taxi trade will no doubt be stronger than ever and Uber and Get Taxi will fail.

Skull. Are you feeling Uber?

Yes I have a driver Kaizer, a very good one

I'm not singling out an individual driver, I'm using the word driver to describe a non owner, I describe myself as a driver first an owner second but as the debate is about the death of our trade, I'm saying the future of our trade is in the drivers hands, as an owner I've invested in the tools, many of us have, we are committed, drivers in general terms are not as committed as us owners, many drivers like me and my driver work their socks off for our company, many drivers though and right across the trade run mobile, are you, Artur and Hssc in denial, does running mobile at times of high demand not exist?

All I'm pointing out is, in my opinion Owners because we have to protect our investment are more loyal than drivers, my opinion is percentage based, I'm not digging at every driver

Private Reggie customers are loyal to no one they come and go , even contract customers it's whoever gives them the best option and one of those options is get taxi , they use licensed taxi's not private hire so the more people who use it the better for the trade. I believe there is room for this app if it generates work for taxis and keeps customers out of private hire vehicles and will soon find its level .

Your first point TRTD I pointed that out to Artur

On your second point, it's not about option, what do you mean option? It's about reliability&service, Apps are all the same, there's no difference, if an App fails to provide Reliabilty it fails simple as that, our App is well serviced because it works through our PDA, we the drivers don't have to sit around wasting time looking for future jobs, our App alongside our telephone customers is an all in one system that works best, Get Taxi is short term it won't last the pace, we as a trade have a duty though to promote our trade and that includes our own App, promoting a stand alone App such as Get taxi or Uber is detrimental to our trade and company as a whole, be careful what your getting in to.

Curiously have you read the T&Cs of Get Taxi? I've read Ubers, scary stuff if your a punter and god help those who are drivers and based on plenty of evidence

If your so happy with Get Taxi, work the street, sell up your position, I worked the street for 4+years, it wasn't that bad but hey I was single shifting and nearly debt free, you ever worked the street?

I'm thinking you've had a bad January and is panicking, desperate measures an aw that, on you go though promote an anothers App

Ah Kaizer the man from ECPH, you have got to be having a fu*king laugh!!!   I couldn't do any thing more to discredit your trade, than you your chums have done already .    Have a look around yourself, City Cabs working with the enemy and CRT buying the work and if that wasn't enough, you lot plan to hand these new App companies Edinburgh on a plate with your divided trade... no pun intended.

What a bunch of raving ars*holes!!! #-o

I wouldn't miss this for the world.......... =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Private Reggie no panic from me the panic is coming from others who see this as a threat, you my friend have panicked after Les told you not to join as it was a breach of rules , didn't think you would fall for that old chestnut but nothing surprises me in this trade, you've been manipulated by his threat just another bully boy case of Les the bully , it's funny how with so many against his ideas that he manages to keep hold of his overpaid job .

Wrong, I asked for clarity concerning rules of the association on joining ETA not get taxi, I acted in my best interests, Les never gave a clear answer, he won't until he has to

Evening Kaiser missed your message in the wall of waffle PR creates. It's been awhile old friend. Nearly two years and Skull is still on here spouting nonsense.

Yes back from the homeland but only just safe and sound. The dutch authorities are cracking down on my business interests there.
I'm back in the Cayman Islands in June. Pop over we can play the North Sound course this time which is 18 instead of the nine holer last time at Blue Tip. Its rainy season but showers usually come later afternoon. By then we'll be drinking rum and eating fresh seafood.

Give my love to Stina and the Stockholm gang. That Brännvin is lethal. :)

Loyalty is paid in ££££££££££££££££ that's what pays the bills and keeps your business ticking over.
Question Reggie old boy are you self employed or do you work for a company

Sad news Artur. Stina is no longer with us. She succumbed to a poor oxygen supply while scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. The Stockholm Gang are still going strong and are asking for you my friend. They still laugh thinking of the night on the Seven Fathoms Rum. That was a night to remember.
I'm not sure I could walk the 18 Artur, the old legs are becoming more and more unreliable. I think your still owe me 200 Gildas from our last foray.
It was rather predictable that Skull would still be using this vehicle as his only way of keeping an interest in the taxi trade, and an outside one at that. There is no threat from Uber or Get Taxi as long as the drivers/owners provide a first class service. That remains the hardest part of the business. It's the threat from within that is the biggest problem.

There seems to be a few anti the establishment venting they're views as usual. I would much prefer them to leave the company if they are so unhappy than blight on about Bully Boy tactics.

As for PR. Trying to understand his ramblings are like trying to solve the Rubicks Cube.

Artur. See you in the Cayman's in June.

I have no interest in the trade per se, I just like to have a laugh at you guys thinking you can compete with multi-national corporations. Image

It's the way you tell them Kaizer...

Oh and if the drivers are smart, they will load up with these apps to free themselves from the yoke of the owners and their £300++++ rentals. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

I think for the drivers it comes down to two choices: :-k

Load up with apps and free yourself from the yoke of the radio companies and their £300++++ rentals by working to promote apps like GET TAXI? =D> =D> =D> =D>

Or

Protect the radio company and the owners stipend by staying loyal to Massa like a good little Cab*igger ? #-o #-o #-o #-o

Now, I'm just saying....Image

That is very tragic news but at least she passed away doing something she loved. Costner as she was known to friends after that classic 1995 film Waterworld will be sadly missed. How is Olaf holding up?

Maybe we should cheer him up with a trip to Prague and a weekend on the Slivovice and Becherovka. Though no midgets this time.

Regarding the golf I'm sure you'd be able to manage if we got a golf cart. That Cayman air will breathe new life into those old legs.

The furore with the introduction of Getaxi and Uber is predictable. Their operation has the reek of an 80's kitchen fitting firm that promised the world but failed to deliver.

Friends in the city say Uber is so overvalued that to justify its share price it's moving into delivering pizzas. I know some my say Shaddap you face but it's true....http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2 ... e-ubereats

One last memory of Stina....do you remember the first trip the Stockholm crew made to the Roskilde festival?? Storming the stage to end green days set after I told her they were a hibs tribute band. All that and she didn't even like football. Stina always knew right from wrong though.
