Skulls quote:-

Les I think you should resign because at the very least you are incompetent and at worst criminal. #-o

City Cabs faces the greatest threat to existence in the history of the company of which you were fully aware but you take it upon yourself not to inform its shareholders? #-o #-o #-o #-o

You do realise that under company law it is your responsibility to keep the members fully informed of any major threat to their company? #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

And what is more, don't you thing they had a right to know? #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Come on Skull. They are ridiculous statements. Are you trying to get Les to chuck the towel in like someone else we know?

why should i be thankfull ? no company can cover the airport , street cars leave queues get bigger punters go to the other side

I think you're over playing the part the street cabs play. And even when all the companies were allowed access to the airport there were still queues at peak times.

If you were driving round to the main rank and there was a queue of 15 passengers waiting for a Taxi and you were offered a job by GetTaxi to pick up at the Airport Hilton to Glasgow Airport what would you do?

Pepsimax once you sign up to get taxi you lose your street car status, your working a system or an App in this case, the airport rank is for City Cabbers and Street cars

Leslie along with others should get a medal for defeating the greatest threat to not only City Cabs but the trade over the last few years and that was sticking it right up Taylor and Thomson in their quest for derestriction of numbers, well done Leslie, keep sticking it to Skull.

what about city cabs treatment of the street cars , put the airport permit up and tell them they cant have the app, street cars are needed at the airport and should not be pushed out the door

So if you don't have the App what are you not happy about?

My statements are FACT. Les admits to being fully aware of the threat posed by UBER and failing to inform his member to that effect. He failed in his duties as an office-bearer of the company - simples. Oh and I think we all know why the threat of UBER was never explained to the members of both companies? Gravy Trains spring to mind. [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X

Les and Co. weren't even in the game. Oh and now that you face UBER Les and Co. are still not in the game. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Seriously,Les and his bum chums can hardly string two words together. #-o #-o #-o #-o No one listens to what they have to say, it's all dirty little deals with ECPH and that's who really runs City Cabs.

I know you will not believe this but I have been well aware of the threat from both of these companies as I am aware of the threat from the vibrant Private Hire section of our Trade.
It's geting our members to stand still long enough to listen. They are always on the go these days.

Oh I am sure you were well aware of the threat from UBER and GETTAXI but did you discuss such a serious threat with the company at an EGM or AGM so your shareholders were fully informed?

You did have at least 3 years, after all....

The same shareholders who some won't even promote their own business?? bumper adds etc etc.

You can be negligent in running the company Skull but you can't be held accountable if a global app moves into town.

Anyway we've seen of Getaxi and Uber will be next.

Aye and you believe what you say just like I do.

CityCabs offer very attractive credit payments to pay up joining fees over a period of time. We also take less per job than the App companies if you are a radio worker.
We also make a cast iron promise to our customers that all of our vehicles and drivers are fully vetted have a full current Enhanced Disclosure and it will not be a Ford Focus with an unlicecenced driver turning up to pick up our passengers Democratisation or not.
Also what the passenger pays is what is shown on the meter not what is quoted over the phone by a system measuring post codes. Neither do we charge fictitious waiting time rates.

The Uber booking office licence application is due to be heard tomorrow by the Licensing and Regulatory Committee.

It would have to be the street cabs Skull as cabs affiliated to a Taxi Company are not permitted to use the Apps as per the rules of the Association.

Question for you Skull. When did Uber announce their intention to offer their service in Edinburgh?
