There are so many hotels in Edinburgh looking for Taxi Company's to provide them with a top class service for their customers. Rumour has it that City Cabs have secured contracts today with Ibis Hunter Square, Ibis South Bridge and The Prestigious Scotsman Hotel. If this is indeed fact, they have done a remarkably good job to beat the likes of Über and Get Taxi. City Cabs must be offering a service that is second to none in the capital.

City Cabs. Keeping Edinburgh Moving.

This just proves the high risk high discounting strategy doesn't work, it allows your competitors with a little bit of savvy to weigh you down with the schect whilst whooping up the quality  8)

I can't believe that you continually spraff this sheite Skull. I think because you were discarded by the trade so long ago you are so out of touch there's no way back for you. Your kind of like Marti in Back to the Future. I worry for you Skull. I don't think where your living is doing you any favours, you know when your mums your dad and your dads your sister.

Chill out Skull

Kaizer, these hotels were calling PH to pick up the cream back when I was driving, I witnessed it with my own eyes. City Cabs will get the staff work and all the shi*e. The Ph will get the quality work with the concierge skimming off the top. If you happen to get an airport or a country job, it will be a last minute booking or a job off the desk that the PH can't cover. :-|

Oh and I wouldn't be surprise, if this was exactly the deal struck by your committee with ECPH. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Don't care what the radio companies get or lose work wise but before all at city cabs get excited re the Scotsman Hotel just have a look back at a story VERY recently in the EEN where staff are not being paid etc etc. If they can do that to staff why not to service providers
Maybe Central are not as daft as some may think :D
Also does 3 hotel contracts really cover the recent loss of a rather large contract (well half a contract) to Central??? never knew hotels were so great at generating business

HSSC. Well your last post is rather contradictory is it not. You say "Central may not be as daft as some may think" and then state "they won half a contract by means of unsustainable discount levels"

You have excellent observational qualities HSSC. There is one thing for certain, the owners of Über and GetTaxi will be scratching their heads at the level of discount they will have to beat in Edinburgh thanks to CRT.

So Kaizer, what you expect everyone to believe is that City Cabs won these contracts by bidding lower than CRT? Not a chance!! [-X [-X [-X What you are really saying is, that City Cabs are working as back-up to ECPH to service these hotels just like out at the airport. #-o #-o #-o #-o

Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous as winning contracts by discounting less???? It's the way you tell them Kaizer.

Yes Skull that is exactly how we gained the three hotels, we offered a low un winnable discount on the social work contract, which was agreed by the members at the AGM, meaning CRT won it with their high discounting strategy, it's a big contract and a busy one especially during rush hour, they became less reliable to the hotels because they are so tied down to their chuckie work, I'm hearing more are just about to follow

The trade is more about reliability&service and not so much about price

Aye right enough Reggie, City Cabs must be more reliable with a large chunk of the fleet sitting out at the Airport, especially at peak times. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o No Chance!!! #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

I smell another deal struck under the table by Messrs Dod and Les and the boys from ECPH. Who lets face it, will be getting all the cream anyway. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Please my friend if you are going to claim I said the above get your facts correct before posting. I never said what you claim ("they won half a contract by means of unsustainable discount levels"). Suggest you re read my post.
Also just for clarity I give not a jot about City nor Central. Good luck to you all in your little battles to be the biggest and best provider of Hackney Cabs in Edinburgh. I provide a polite service to all my customers and have never had anyone complain about my prices nor attitude in 30 years of driving, I must be doing something right. Happy with what I earn on the street and again for clarity I never have nor will I use in the future Uber Get Taxi or any future App. Thanks for the compliment (I think :D ) in the sentence below =D>
