The job they were elected to do was to act in the best interests of City Cabs members. And I don't think that meant helping a direct competitor to secure a £30 million contract to control Edinburgh Airport’s taxi rank and then end up paying for the privilege. #-o #-o #-o #-o A similar thing happened with the Waverley and Haymarket Station ranks a number of years back and all that was achieved was a redistribution work from around the city to CRT and Radio Cabs. After a few months, whatever City Cabs thought they had won was lost by putting all their eggs in one basket just like out at the airport. #-o #-o #-o #-o

You see it's with thinking like yours Novakandgood, you end up giving huge discounts to buy work or paying to provide a service instead of charging to supply that service. #-o #-o #-o #-o

And this is what happens when you allow small minded men on committees to create gravy trains. #-o Their first objective is to keep the gravy flowing by sewing division between two groups of individuals who, for all intents and purposes, should be working together because their interests are in fact, one and the same. #-o #-o #-o #-o

You see the education you would be deprived of without someone like myself posting on this forum. =D> =D> =D>

love that phrase "gravy train". I'm sure the committee see it that way when they get verbally abused or their property vandalised. As I've said before they do a job I wouldn't know where to start with and i believe do a grand job at that.
As much as I love your education skull I feel we are going round in circles. I'll finish by saying in my opinion that les, dode and the rest of the committee do their best for the taxi trade.

Saul there is nothing new in the workers hating management. It's so cliche its ridiculous.

Don't you get tired being so negative?

Right here we go city / central /onward travel had a meeting at the braid hills hotel it was agreed that they would work the airport together, this was agreed by all parties and epch were not quoted. Onward Travel would service the phc and every driver would be a brief holder, the following morning a phone call was received to say that central wanted no part in this arrangement and were going it alone.

Was i at the meeting or not? this is the truth all the rest is p*** .

Ask your committee

Skull your attempts to educate are mired in bitterness and misinformation.
Have you ever thought about moving your new dog walking business over to North Korea where this sort of mindset flourishes. You would probably hit the ground running over there instead of continually bashing your head of a brick wall on here.

The western world went through the period of enlightenment a few hundred years ago. Try and catch up.

My job within City Cabs is anything but a gravy train and I do not spend one minute of my time sewing division.
For those who visit this site outwith the Edinburgh Taxi Trade I can assure you that the low level of debate on here is not indicative of the standards set by the vast majority of our trade.
You will see that any Edinburgh topic on this forum is generally dragged down to a base level by one disenfranchised individual who isn't a taxi driver.
The bottom line is that he messed up his own career as a taxi driver now his sole purpose in life is to mess up everyone else.

It is a missed opportunity to see a way for the edinburgh trade communicating with each other, possibly bringing news and relevant topics to the fore and to discuss, brought down to this vitriolic level.
Perhaps the Administrator could look at the possibility of allocating a new section for the Skull to preach his unique form of communicating. The "Skull's Scottish Section" perhaps. Freing up the Edinburgh section of this forum for real and relevant taxi news and matters.

Well perhaps you could explain to everyone how committee salaries have more than doubled over the past 25 years, yet in that same time period the earnings of taxi drivers have more than halved pro rata? Oh and remember there has probably been around 40% in tariff increases in that same time period. It seems like someone is getting a raw deal. #-o #-o #-o

No Les, all that committees have ever achieved is to sew division and to line their own pockets and City Cabs members are certainly not getting what they have paid for... Oh and Les, save your bull ... for the sheeple... #-o #-o #-o #-o

TRTD my my! Ah I see what you've done there regarding other members of the committee. How very thatcherite of you! Also rhymes too

This City Cabs member is more than happy with the work being done under Les and Dode.

Skull isn't even involved in the trade and despises you as much as myself but is too self deluded to realise he's been played as a puppet.

TRTD i was out with an esteemed retired member of the trade yesterday and was telling him about this site. He was flabbergasted with your username.......

"The real taxi driver? Why not the poisoned dwarf? Even those that act like his friend call him that"

Loose lips sink ships.
