I think it is fairly evident that Saul is running out of wiggle room.

The discussion on this post and others on this site reflects the challenges that face our trades future.

The taxi business is gradually being dragged out of the vacuum that is has existed in for many years whether we like it or not. The competition may come from the Private Hire sector or it may come from the Venture Capitalists investing in the App companies.

The Public Hire sector that will flourish and continue to succeed will be those who embrace technology and have a belief in their own ability to provide a service to the public when they need it.

Regulation and restriction is a good thing and these help maintain a standard in both drivers and vehicles, however these two factors can, when over used by Local Authorities, cause our trade to look backward and dig our heels in rather than putting our energies into improving our working practices.

If we firmly believe in the product we are selling then we should have nothing to fear.
It is this attitude, I believe, that helped City Cabs win the Airport contract for the Public Hire.

Putting the politics of it all to one side I can never understand why anyone can object, or appeal against, someone doing something that they were more than willing to do themselves. Especially if it involves legal actions and the potential level of costs that are being discussed at the moment.

There is a decision to be made here and that is whether we dig our heels in and spend our energies trying to remain in a vacuum, which is sure to disappear in the future, or whether we choose to believe in the service we provide and build on that.

Les I've got to hand it to you, when it comes to talking out of your ars* you are a natural bullshi* artist. #-o

There are certain natural measuring tools that can be used to ascertain if you are on the right road in life.
Being adversely criticised by you is near the top of my list.
Thanks.

Well here's some constructive criticism... have you ever considered not being a complete fanny? #-o

I have always considered your last statement when used in that context to be self-contradictive.
Which perhaps re asserts my view as to the condition of your thought process over the last few years.
All bitter and twisted.

Let me make it simpler and there should be no need for your funny little men.

The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their correct names.

When you revert to name calling, pulling funny faces and throwing insults it suggests that you have nowhere else to go.

Ha ha I don't cause trouble , btw rich I've never had an airport permit , wouldn't take one if they were free , you see some of us real cabbies could not stomach sitting anywhere near your friends .

I've just taken time to read over your posts Saul. You have never been in a radio company? You have never had a permit from City Cabs out at the Airport?

Are both of those statements true Saul?

Morning Saul. I thought I would start a fresh topic once again dedicated to you. I am beginning to realise that you are finding keeping up with the threads rather difficult.

I've started this topic with a post I posted yesterday. I thought you may have missed it yesterday so I wanted to highlight it again so you can provide your answer, just for clarification purposes.

Looking forward to your reply Saul.

Les the problem with guys like you is that you start to believe your own bullshit. #-o Which is actually quite common for you committee types. #-o I think it's about time you took a hard look in the mirror.

I don't think suggesting ways that might prepare our trade for the competitive forces that we face is, and I use your words, bullshit.

Les your trade is divided.   You have two almost identical companies working against their own and each others interests with City Cabs operating as back-up service to ECPH out at the airport and CRT discounting the balls off every contract that comes their way but now, you want to prepare your trade for the competitive forces it is facing? #-o #-o #-o #-o And that's before even looking at the GETTAXI and UBER. #-o #-o #-o #-o
