VIDEO: Shocking dashcam film shows Brentwood minicab driver 'texting'A Brentwood minicab firm has been named and shamed after one of its drivers was caught on camera 'texting at the wheel.'
The footage of the unnamed ABC driver was caught on camera by YouTube user Matt Sprake, who posted the video showing a series of misdemeanours in and around the Brook Street and South Weald areas.
The film – entitled 'ABC Cars Minicab showing how NOT to drive safely' – is captioned with a short summary of what happened.
It says: "This has it all - bad lane choice at a roundabout, texting while driving and blatantly not using his indicators, all from a 'professional' driver. This during half term when all the kids are off school."
The recording, which begins at the Brook Street roundabout, sees the white Ford estate registration FJ60 FXV driving off from the middle lane.
That would normally be for traffic heading south on the M25 but the car then cuts across to head into Brentwood along Brook Street.
The clip then shows what looks like the driver texting at the wheel while driving at the junction of Wigley Bush Lane and Weald Park Way.
And then lastly, the car fails to indicate as it turns right from Weald Park Way into Weald Road.
ABC declined to comment when approached by the Gazette.
