With the waste issues and decommissioning costs, nuclear is probably the most expensive way of generating electricity.
Scotland has no need for expensive and dangerous nuclear power.

Speak for yourself, I fechin hate windpower, it so inefficient and ludicrously subsidised, it's no more than a bloody con, but as the greenies are as thick as pig shite they believe it all.

You won't have fossil fuels for much longer because them pesky EU people are banning making electricity from it. The Germans on the other hand are opening more coal and lignite fired power stations.

Doesn't say anything about the EU banning fossil fuel generation or Germans opening more coal stations despite a ban. It does say that some must close because of air quality - quite topical considering the warnings about air pollution a few days ago.

I doubt wind power will ever supply the UK with anything like enough power. Scotland has much smaller needs

The UK does need nuclear power. Scotland does not
