That's a great Tory philosophy,it's great round our way so that's ok.Maybe take your blinkers off and have a closer look at the rest of the country, you'd be horrified to know that people are on their ars es
and resorting to food banks. But it's ok round your way

I am standing in the local election not the parliamentary election. Unemployment is below 400 here and prospects for more jobs are very good. Perhaps if things are not so good in your area perhaps your Council should do as many others are doing and send a delegation down to see how ours are doing it.

I don't really like politicians - in fairness I'd throw the lot of them overboard

What % of the population is that? Who is the major employer if there is one?

There are some stats here. I am not sure when they were published but I do know that unemployment in the area has fallen further. For the record, our Conservative Council has been investing in the building of new Council houses.
http://www.ilivehere.co.uk/statistics-m ... 25312.html
The unemployment rate in January 2015 for Melton Mowbray was 1.3%

We don't have any dominant employer anymore We have several large for the area employers though. We have Mars petcare, Jeldwen windows and doors, Saint-Gobain steelworks, We also have several food producers in the area producing Cheeses, pies, ready meals and sandwiches for major supermarket chains. We have a very busy cattle market that is about to undergo a major upgrade paid for by the Council and the Council are also investing in a brand new sports and leisure complex.
The one major pitfall for our town at the moment is the lack of a ringroad which means that the town centre is very often clogged with vehicles. The lack of a ringroad is stopping a lot of house building at the moment. The ringroad is is the main issue that is being raised by residents.

The Conservatives will be the biggest party, and if only people will wake up to the reality that we are better off with the Conservatives, might just get an overall majority. Forget about Scotland, a lost cause, and Wales too.

Wake up to what ? Whoops sorry the country is in a great state isn't it....... Still gobsmacked how anyone who's not on the "top 100 rich list" could consider voting for these c nuTs !!

The Country is in far better shape now than it was 5 years ago.

Or the ones on workfare?
Or the ones on zero hours contracts?

Liam Byrne, labour's chief secretary to the treasury left the infamous note. "All the money's gone!"

As the money was spent bailing out bankers and saving their bonuses, I'm surprised the Tories would be complaining
