I asked base "admin" if monday is time + half...

"If (the other firm in town) is charging it yes, if not, no"

she sent me two texts before that "can you work friday/saturday/sunday and monday, we have drivers missing"

probably gone looking for business

Monday starts after midnight, you don't need charge punters time and a half all day Monday, untill 6 is enough when clubs are closing

We already know you are

Its pointless charging extra on bank holidays, why not work at normal time, like we do, and earn more, if folk know your on normal prices you get more work.

I think it's madness charging meter and a half on a bank holiday.

Absolute madness.

Get used to it, it's the future. Uber call it surge pricing.

if you want me to work on a bank holiday for normal rates - I think you'll find you'll have to catch one of those buses - that aint running because its a bank holiday.

ffs

I don't mind doing T1 for those who are going to work and who aren't getting extra pay for working a bank holiday, all the others get the T2 treatment.

I will not be working, but I tend to think it depends on what your/my area can afford. If your area can afford it then fine. But! be careful that you do not bite the hand that feeds you, because over time it feeds back down the line in a negative way.

I know that Cardiff for example has/does suffer the fact that people no longer come in droves from outside the area over Bank hols. A lot of the problem being the cost of taxis getting home that really bumps up the overall cost of the night, the consequence being is that Friday and Saturday this week were very ordinary....tonight will/can be like a mini Saturday. As a City we are full of low paying retail jobs, Call centres, and National minimum wage employers.....meaning there is no real money around, you can draw a graph as to how the month/money is panning out. Years ago we would have had a good two out of three.....these days you can never tell.

It is basically the old story....what you take today will not be there tomorrow - next Friday for example will be sh!t.
