One things for sure UKIP wouldn't have got half the votes it got

The last time we defended Carlisle, our defender got bumped out of his reward, maybe we should move the Wall further south or maybe you northerners should start the movement

They would have more seats in parliament than the snp if the system was right - people agree with a common sense approach to policy - has this election told people nothing?

Using the PR system UK wide would mean MPs not elected and accountable to a constituency, is that right

All systems have there flaws, I prefer 1st past the post, it recognises differences of opinion

I'm in a situation with this tbh

I elect a local MP to look after my gaff

I cannot see how PR will do that - in actual fact it may elect someone that horrifies me

but 3.9 million people voted UKIP - for 1 MP - many more than the SNP got for 56?

that don't seem fair either.

I'm in a bind

3.9 million votes from 40+ million voters Compared to 1.45 million votes from around 4 million voters, the SNP got nearly half the amount of votes that UKIP got and from a tenth of the voters, then you have the Tories who got 330 MPs from around 4 times the number of votes UKIP got, I think your highlighting the wrong wrong but in my book that's the system that is best for democracy.

The Tories got 36% of the vote (from people who actually voted.) Enough to do what they damn well please for another 5 years. The 64% who didn't vote for them are now irrelevant.
The SNP got a shade over 50% of the vote (from people who actually voted in Scotland.)

Non voters are irrelevant by their own choice but are still equally irrelevant.

Big FPTP losers this time are UKIP Greens and LibDems. A position the SNP are well familiar with.

The system sucks big time. Time it was gone.
