Most done in house.

Usually the first one you do takes forever, but I believe it does get better.

Welcome to the world of Red-Tape.

Is it a school tender or a corporate tender?

Firstly you would have to be "approved" which would start with an induction

then most councils have to use a "framework" to get you on the approved list of contractors

these can be 1 year or like ours 3 years, so miss the boat (ours just sailed) and its 3 years before you can even tender

ours isnt the worst by far, but still about 20 pages, Warwickshires i gave up on, just not feasible for an owner driver

Why don't you just ask them how it's done?

After wading thru our 50 page framework (and being asked for my hackney operators licence) i finally got me acceptance

oh no, its an Intention to Award Letter.

The actual Award Contracts will be sent out on or after 19th June 2015

I had 1 good school contract for 4 and a half years (6 days a week), then a not so good for a year and now back on a good one for 3 years

it means i am not "base dependent", i really AM self employed......unlike so many

i have only "taxi driven" for 1 or 2 days a week for the last 16 months.....for some pocket money
