Grandad. I have to say that yours for whatever reason is bucking the trend, however
national stats are still showing that shops/high Street are suffering, that tells me there is no/little money around. Incidently I read an article the other day saying that "Night Clubs" throughout the country are down by half, they tried to dress it down by claiming it was a change in trend

Re going on a bus Or driving your own car does not stack up, a free bus or my own car would be a no brainer and the same for many others, unless car parking was cost prohibitive then you would drive your own car. If you are not driving your own car and being bussed - then the wages are low and they have not got a car in any event.
Mr T. Cardiff is apparently rated as the fastest growing City in the U.K (I guess that must be outside of London). However once again, and despite their claims, no real wealth is filtering through to the local population. There is only one reason that any Town or City outside of London attracts companies and that is low wages, Oh and usually a sweetener from the council in the guise of it being rent/rate free for xxxxxx years. The yardstick for disposable income and that is what makes the country tick in my book, has always been the High Street over a seven day week, just to confirm it I also look down the High Street and streets in general at night time during the week - I see nothing has changed (apart from getting worse) after years of BS from our council as to how we are on the up and up.
Here is one for all of you who have a student population - If the students were taken out of your area....how would you manage. My point being is that they are non productive, with many spending money given to them from Gov departments i.e tax money. This is money (tax payers money) being pushed back out into the economy in order to give an illusion of prosperity, basically false prosperity.
Just how well would you/anyone be doing if the students were taken from your locality.......we would be well and truly f%^k$d. I repeat, nothing is changing nationally.
