would any one show me how to work out

for the frist mile £3

then ever mile after £1.40

how do I work out the yards for each 10p for the £1.40

And

For the first mile £3.50


then ever mile after £1.50

how do I work out the yards for each 10p for the £1.50

1 mile = 1760yds

10p will get you 125 yards at £1.40 (ish) per mile rate

The sum is (1760 / 14) 14 being the number of 10p "ticks" per mile


At £1.50 you will get 117 (ish) yards per 10p

(1760 / 15)

Simples!
