Circles and inner Circles....
Let me briefly explain how I run my business for those who don't know....
If you call for a taxi and I don't have your number stored there is a good chance you won't even get answered. I'm sorry for this but I like to look after my regulars first. That way, at busy times (weekends) those that use my services as a first choice are rewarded with being my first choice customers.... 'In the Circle'.....
Then there are those who exclusively use my services, those who really appreciate my efforts to go the extra mile, those who have given me support from the inception of XXXXXXXX Cab, those who consider me a friend..... 'INNER CIRCLE'
.... I'm sorry if this offends anybody but it is how I run my business and it is how I will continue to run my business.... As my 'Inner Circle' grows then I decide to grow the business... Let's keep growing together my 'Inner Circle' friends (You know who you are)... Thank you all

That's a long way to say 'look after your regulars and they will look after you'.

When it busy down here the regulars (in my car) get served a lot better than those down for a weekend.

If that's right or not, I couldn't give a f***.

Although all my regulars are important to me and get first bite at the cherry I'd find it very difficult to turn other work away just on spec that a regular might want a vehicle at the last minute, besides if you don't answer the phone to new clients then once your regulars start dying off or moving away your going to be left with a clientless Vacuum and a reputation for cliqueshness and the potential new client will go elsewhere...your damned if you do and your damned if you don't.

Thats fine and it obviously works for you, your punters and drivers, how far cant it go though? eventually you come to a tipping point when you have to start taking every call as a job, whoever it is cos you have cars standing idle, or do you intend sticking at the fleet level you have?

It isn't my business model. It is another firm in the town.
