Not when half the punters phones 8 different firms and they are all out to undercut. If you don't keep fares low you get no work ! Although we do plenty of airports at slightly more than the really cut price brigade your reputation can only get you the jobs at a £5 more than the cheapest and all the other firms watch us with green eyed envy at our workload which has lost us plenty over the last year especially when my idiot drivers post all over facebook about our airport work

It is a very competitive business passing the costs onto the punters isn't an option if you want to hang on to the work !

There starts the race to the bottom.

Overall, airport runs are rubbish, some of our lowest rates per mile, mainly we get BHX, takes 90 minutes at least, 45 miles, we (the base) quotes £32.50 Inc drop fee, £1.I'd rather do townships at £4 a throw and at double the rate per mile and better tips. Airport collections add more time with luggage and late flights....

Airport runs from Ashford Kent go for less than 40p a mile including dead return journey. Why bother, you lose just as much money sitting at home on the computer without having the stress of the M25.

Dropped there on Sunday, carnage getting in to the unorganised shambles off the drop off area, then you pay them £2.50 for the privilege.

They shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a London airport, its transport links are crap.

My sentiments exactly mate, It's ages since I've been there and the other week will definitely be the last. Like you said it's un-organised chaos then they relieve you of £2.50.
