I disagree.

We have assisted in the bombing the sh*t out of these people - armed the wrong side - and have played a major role in the destruction of a state - we are not even reaping the whirlwind - that is taken by the likes of its immediate neighbours.

What we have at the moment is a predominantly right wing press doing its level best to stir up racism instead of humanity. in my opinion its a f*cking disgrace and this country should be ashamed.

history is littered with similar stories although i must admit that if the Americans had sent a snatch team in to remove Assad it might have prevented a civil war too late now

The question I would ask though is did we start the civil war in Syria and after Afghanistan just how much right do we have to interfere in the affairs of islamic countries personally I think there are other countries in that region should be taking the lead with possibly financial support from europe

The UK encouraged it, as we did in other none pro UK states - we're certainly more responsible for this sh*t created than any other euro country - but we cannot finance the solution.

please, mate, with all my respect to you but I can't agree with you in any of those... if Germany as a nation are in need of cheap labour or whatever in lack of tax payers they've loyal and cheap workers in eastern Europe in Poland i.e. why they don't relocate hundreds of thousands of young and healthy polish HARD WORKING men instead of those newcomers with unknown background... they trying to be a Mother of Nations... if you think that those newcomers will fill a gap you are really wrong, they are coming to make that gap wider cos they are not "gastarbeitern" , they are blood suckers... have you seen latest from hungarian border? so you expect them being loyal workers and taxpayers? I agree, some of them maybe...
