What is going to happen to all the owners of Volkswagen's that have been registered with the wrong emission data?
Will they have to have their engines re tested and registration documents changed? Will they have to pay the extra tax?

They fiddled the results for California, unless you go there (and i mean USA, not Skeggy) you have nothing to worry about

That state has emissions 1/40th of ours yet they still sell V8 Pontiacs and Mustangs.......go figure

theyve fiddled the results on 11,000,000 cars WORLDWIDE,not just in the US,theyre also going to be looking at the emissions on their petrol engined cars to see if the same skuldguggery has been used on those too

The US (and in particular California) have the tighter emissions rules, the software to turn the fuel supply down under certain conditions (it seems when there is little/no load, 2000rpm and no steering wheel or brake movement) may well be ON many cars, but in countries who dont test like the US it wont be evident, its rich for the US to come up with these tests when to comply with some laws on emissions and keep the gas guzzlers big companies were allowed to buy in asian built models, add the lot up together (15mpg V8's + 65mpg 1000cc jap cars) and get compliance....

They also managed to ban Concorde as too noisy when the Boeing SST was obviously never going to compete

I suspect the owners will do nothing.

Not sure there will be much of a queue for any recall update. :-$

I remember the report of a Spanish lorry driver turning up at Gibraltar near Skeggy. he was supposed to be at Gibraltar next to Spain but followed his sat nav. Not even the Channel Tunnel aroused his suspicion.
