I have what is called a pecuniary financial interest because of my involvement in our company. My wife is the managing director and I am an employee. This means that I can't even be in the room at the Council when committees are discussing anything to do with taxis (a little strange when i have access to the minutes and recordings). We do not carry out any work for the Borough Council because it could be perceived that I had an advantage when tendering.

So if you resigned as a director youd be OK?

I am not a director. The PFI is because of my connection to the company. It is how the public could perceive any involvement by me.

With respect TT, unless someone has had the experience that you have had in dealing with Councils, it is easy to see how people can get it wrong. Remember how wrong I was getting it before I spoke to you. =D> =D>
