A blind woman said she felt "mortified and humiliated" after being told to leave an Asda supermarket because of her guide dog.
Louise Cannon, 34, was shopping with her dog Harmony at the Stoneycroft store in Liverpool on Friday when a security guard told her to "get out".
Asda admitted how Ms Cannon was treated was "not acceptable" and said it was "genuinely sorry".
The guard was not familiar with rules over guide dogs in shops, it added.
Ms Cannon said she was "shocked" when the security guard asked her to leave because dogs were not allowed on the premises.
"He kept shouting at me, telling to me to go out," she added.
She said "other people started chipping in" to support her but the guard got "a bit irate" and she felt "incredibly humiliated".
Asda said the guard has since been retrained.
Ms Cannon told BBC Radio Merseyside she had not yet received a direct apology from Asda.

and now schools are saying they can't use white canes due to elf n safety !!!

A blind schoolgirl has been asked to stop using her white cane in school due to health and safety concerns.
Seven-year-old Lily-Grace Hooper was told she could not use her cane at Hambrook Primary School in Winterbourne Down near Bristol.
Her mother Kristy Hooper said she was "devastated" when she was told of the decision last Thursday.
The school stressed the measure was a temporary one while the situation was discussed with the family.

so it is safe for her to bump into things because she has no cane but unsafe for sighted people cause they might trip over a highly visible white stick

Health and safety my Arse is just a cover. HSE get the blame even though they would never endorse this kind of lunacy.

What kind of Anal Sphincters are in charge at that school that Ban a blind Bairn from using her white Stick..
