Just like get some info one of our hackney drivers got a PCN for driving in bus lane in minster street Reading he only has a saloon car and is new to the trade. his only worry is that on the sign its wheelchair accesible taxi only.

If sign says wheelchair access only then only wavs exempt

Surely a saloon can fit a wheelchair in his boot?

Doesn't say the punter must be sitting in it.

Look at the traffic order.

Yes, look at the traffic order and Traffic signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD), see if the WAV exempt sign is legal or has been approved by the secretary of state for that location. Post it on Pepipoo, they love cases like this.

When I did that NVQ shítty thing we were told that if a wheelchair could fit in your boot you were wheelchair accessible.

Tell him to photocopy his licence and send it to them, stating he is hackney and the WC was in the boot.
just had a look at the sign, it states no access between 7 am and 11am and 4 pm to 7 pm, except for buses and wc taxis and permit holders, what time was the ticket
