Our council has sent out a letter to all drivers stating that it is double fare on the 25th and 26th and normal fare on the 27th and 28th.

Still time and a half today :D
Yesterday was almost dead until 5 PM, then all hell broke loose, got in at 3.30 AM, with more tips than PG 8) 8)
what tends to happen is family collects family, at lunchtime, then they have to much to eat and drink, so need taxis to take family home, runs take slightly longer due to house calls, even when you mention your extremely busy and could they be ready.
The new drink drive law helps, one pint can put you over now.

Our tariff card says the normal Boxing day tariff applies on the 26th, no matter what day of the week it occurs.

Boxing day is a National holiday, not a Bank holiday.

Our tarriff card makes it clear from 8pm on 24th and all day xmas day or boxing day T3 = double sunday is T2 = time and a half monday is a bank holiday and therefore T2 mind you we were the ONLY company sticking to that and my drivers that were working have all got a smile on their face. Some of the other firms drivers look downright miserable

We got the Boxing Day rate of meter and a half, the same we have had for a number of years on Boxing Day.

We call it the Boxing Day tariff, and on Boxing Day we get it.
