Common sense........is just not that Common.

In 15 years as a referee I saw some really bad tackles and quite a few incidents of violent conduct but I don't remember any player kicking another player in the face like that. I remember a youth player laying out the ref whilst I was senior linesman. he got a 5 year ban.

That could seriously be a charge off attempted murder hadn't he already attempted to break the guys legs.
Even more disgusting it could rub off on the fans.
A celtic goalkeeper was killed on the pitch in the 50s when he took an accidental kick to the head.
5 years in the nick and banned from sport for life imho.
Sports persons have got worse for a bit peds found in their system.
