Taxi Driver Online

Got this email asking for an interview, I am not a London black cab driver so I said that I would post it on here so that someone more suitable can get in touch with her.
" Hope you’re very well and don’t mind my getting in touch - I’m the Features Editor at the Evening Standard Magazine. I was hoping you might be able to help with an article I’m working on. We’d very much like to have a black cab driver interviewed in the magazine. Our idea is to have a black cab driver in conversation with an Uber driver, covering areas such as the importance of black cabs to London heritage / economy, safety, working hours and so on. We want it to be a sensitive and thought provoking piece.

Do you know any black cab drivers who would be up for this? Ideally we’d like a man in his 30s or early 40s who lives in London - and available for interview next week. We would also want to take a portrait of him in his cab.

Is there any you might be able to put me in touch with?"

the best she can hope for is heated discussion no self respecting london badge holder is going to do anything but have a pop at uber.

tell you what would be hilarious though would be trotsky interviewing the two

Send TT as the black cab rep and any UBER driver who isnt busy, assuming he can find the location of the interview

Its a fit up dont go anywhere near it would be my advice, your face and ID all over that poxy rag tell the journo to contact the RMT the only genuine Cab Driving Organisation in London
