BBC staff that can't get the travel reports right had to do Stansted 01.30 this morning so before going round to pick them up checked the travel news M11 listed roadworks Northbound between Harlow and Bishops Stortford and Northbound exit slip closed at Bishops Stortford Got there it was southbound slip closed had to go all the way down to Harlow and come back up through the roadworks :sad:

and on the way back approaching a lorry but had a car steaming up outside with full beam on so waited for him to pass what did he do get alongside and slam his brakes on :roll: then after getting past lorry saw him approach the next lorry to overtake and saw him slam his brakes on again :roll: where do these people learn to drive !

Talking of lorries ;
Roadworks on motorway, only one lane. Speed restriction of 40mph and big signs stating 'Average speed cameras in operation through roadworks', so obviously I was doing 40.
Lorry flies up to within inches of my rear and starts flashing headlamps and blowing horn, did this all the way through the roadworks.

Once the restriction ended and all three lanes open we both start accelerating, he decides to move to the middle lane and try to overtake me and fails. So as he hits his limiter and I carry on pulling away he moves back into the inside lane and does a bit more honking and flashing.

When someone specifically orders a saloon vehicle (last night), then three people come out with a wheelchair and three suitcases.
Then when told that it won't all fit in and ask why they didn't order a larger vehicle reply 'He (the one in a wheelchair) struggles to get in a black cab/WAV/minibus' #-o

Lorries drive to their sat navs not their speedometer I've seen similar on the M1 in roadworks they can't accept cars sticking to the speedo reading :roll:

The Sat Nav is a more accurate reading, the speedo might be showing 55MPH but the Sat Nav will only have you doing 50MPH.

Is that guaranteed?

Is the speedo guaranteed? I've never received a ticket when I've gone by the sat nav speed, even through average speed cameras on the M1 and the Gatso's on the A1 when I've been visiting my sister in Market Deeping.
